With two scheduled appearances, Jeffrey James & The Wanted Gang are back to bring their heart-thumping, toe-tapping music to Bishop Mule Days. This band covers all the bases with a little country, a little rock n' roll and just the right touch of rockabilly.
The group will open for concert headliner Uncle Kracker on Thursday, May 24, 8 p.m., and then two nights later headline the Saturday Night Dance. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Saturday with tickets on sale at the door or in advance.
Front man Jeffrey James has long paid his dues in the music industry with a career that took him from rocking as part of opening acts for Guns N' Roses, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction. Later as his career progressed, James found himself playing in opening acts for such country legends as Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Shania Twain, Clint Black and former Mule Days concert headliners Chris Le Doux and Neil McCoy.
Vocally, Jeffrey cites many inspirations including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
Paired with the talents of bassist Neil Morris and drummer Doug Bain, Jeffrey James and the Wanted Gang remains a Mule Days favorite.
